🛫 Airport Arrival
GROUND PACKAGE – FOR THOSE ARRIVING INTO BAGHDAD
- Brother Mustafa will meet you at Baghdad Airport. Please hand him your passport and a copy of your e-visa. He will arrange your visa processing at the immigration desk.
- Your visa fees will be paid on your behalf, so you do not need to pay or hand over any cash.
- Once you have handed over your passport, please take a seat and wait while your visa is processed. The processing time will depend on how busy the airport is.
PLEASE NOTE: Arbaeen is an extremely busy time of year at Baghdad Airport, so it is likely that there will be some waiting time before your passport is returned. Please rest assured that our team will work as quickly as possible to obtain your visa and return your passport.
- Once your visa has been issued, you will be asked to complete your biometrics (eye scan). After this, Brother Mustafa will return your passport and direct you to the next step.
For those travelling with a RED VISA: Please proceed directly to the biometrics (eye scan) counters and then continue through immigration. Brother Mustafa will be at the airport to assist you should you require any help.
Once you have collected your luggage, Brother Muhanad will be there to receive you and guide you to the next step.
- Once you have cleared immigration, our team will guide you to collect your luggage and escort you out of the airport.
- Please note that there may be a short transfer by car or small bus before boarding the main vehicle to Najaf. This is due to vehicle access restrictions at Baghdad Airport.
Please follow the instructions of our team throughout the arrival process. They will be there to guide and assist you every step of the way, Insha'Allah.

Arbaeen Ziyarah 2026 itinerary for the Spiritual Journeys group. DR Travellers arrive one day earlier on Saturday 25th July and depart one day earlier on Friday 7th August. Dates are subject to moon sighting where noted.

- Spiritual guides and reciters will include Dr Sayed Ammar Nakshawani, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Hilli, Sheikh Nuru Mohammed, Mulla Abathar Al-Halawaji, Mulla Nazar Al Qatari, Mulla Mohammed Abbas Karim, Mulla Ahmed Raza Nasri, Mulla Mohammed Ali Moshi, Mulla Muazzam Ali Mirza, and Qari Mohammad Fahim Akbar.
- There will be group ziyarah at each of the Imams / Holy Personalities (as) visited.
- Details of ladies-only and children’s programmes will be shared closer to the time. There will be a daily children’s programme inshAllah.
- Accommodation is at Qasr Ad-Duhr Hotel in Najaf and Abraj Al Sharq Hotel in Karbala. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided each day.
- Due to the hot weather, the Najaf to Karbala walk will be at night inshAllah. Programmes outside the hotel will take place in the evening to avoid peak heat.
- There will be a group doctor throughout the trip.
- Anyone requiring wheelchair assistance should contact their regional rep.
